Sleep EEG

Potential therapies for insomnia, apnea, and other sleep disorders are typically evaluated in animal models with electrophysiological endpoints, in particular using electroencephalogram measures (EEG). Specific endpoints include:
  • Description of sleep architecture (latency and duration of sleep stages)
  • Sleep maintenance
  • Sleep/ wakefulness cycles
  • Sleep physiology evaluation via EEG in freely moving animals
  • REM and NREM sleep patterns, including the following parameters:
    • REM
    • NREM
    • Continuity
    • Sleep bout duration
